There’s no worse feeling than having a dry sinus. Or maybe your air is just too dry and you need to find a way to moisten it up. Well, the most economical solution to this problem would be to get a humidifier. Of course, that’s easier said than done as there are many types, brands, and dimensions of humidifiers. So, what I have done is created a mini guide to choosing a humidifier below. This is what you should follow when choosing a humidifier. I’ve also included at the very bottom of this page on my humidifier reviews I have done recently and in the past. So, without further ado, let’s begin.
Familiarize Yourself With the Top Brand Humidifiers
When determining on which brand of humidifier you should go with, it’s best to stick with the top, reliable brands. Here is a list of a few top brands of humidifier manufacturers, based on my research:
Sunpentown SPT –
Vicks –
Crane –
Air-O-Swiss –
Bemis –
Lasko –
Honeywell –
Homes –
Essick -
For the most part, all the brands I’ve mentioned above are pretty great with their products.
Types of Humidifiers
As the saying goes, not all humidifiers are the same. And that is so, so true. Here are the different types of humidifiers:
Evaporative Humidifiers – They pretty much evaporate the water and allows for more of a ‘nature’ kind of vapor.
Cool Mist Humidifiers – Basically, it’s mechanically run; it uses a spinnig disc to fling water at a diffuser, which helps break the water into fine droplets. In turn, it gets flinged into the air, making the air moist.
Steam Humidiifier or Vaporizer – They boil the water and cause steam to be forced out into the air. This is great for those who are sick or have very dry environments that need quick moisture.
Ultrasonic Humidifier – these kinds of humidifiers use high frequency sound to break the water up into very fine moisture particles.
Depending on you what you need in a humidifier, any one of the above could be one you need.
Which Is the Best Humidifier for Your Room?
This one is pretty much self explanatory. The bigger the room, the bigger the humidifier must be. More models in the descriptions will say how large or small a room that model can handle. But again, size is relevant to the size of the room.
My Humidifier Reviews
Below is my collection of reviews I’ve put together of some of the top models being sold. Feel free to read up on a few of them.
